Do I have to be a large company to order your products?

Not at all. Although we work with over 80 of the world’s top 100 brands and many of the top brands locally, we also provide branding solutions to much smaller companies and start-ups.

What is your minimum order quantity?

We have no minimum order quantity. We have the flexibility to manufacture 1 unit and the capacity to do 10,000. As with most bespoke manufactured items, price reduces as quantity rises, but we recognize that very often one unit is all that is needed to get your brand out there.

How do I order?

You can either send through a Quote Request or Contact Request form through our website or contact us directly via email or phone.

How do I supply my logo and artwork?

We need to receive your logo in a format suitable for large format printing, preferably vector or print-ready PDF. Full details of our artwork T&Cs are available here: Artwork T&Cs

What if I cannot find my logo in the correct format?

We can normally re-create your logo in the correct format, for which we will charge a per hour fee. However, we will supply you with this logo file for future use.

Do you provide a graphic design service?

Yes, we do. Our agency, The Buro, offers a full graphics design service. If you require a new logo or specialist graphic design service, we can assist with this.

Do you provide a visual proof?

Yes, in all instances we provide a visual proof prior to production. This will give you an idea of what the finished product will look like, as we as present any issues pertaining to colors, logos, images, etc. our studio may encounter whilst setting up the artwork for print.

When can I expect my product(s)?

This is all dependent on the products you’ve ordered and the quantities. Before your order goes into production, your account manager will confirm the dispatch date. Please note that products will only be dispatched once payment has been made in full.

If I already have hardware, can I just order the fabric?

Provided that the hardware is from ExpandaBrand, yes you can. Our hardware is made to last with most of our products offering the flexibility to be reskinned when the fabric becomes old and faded. These products include: Flying, Feather and Wing Banners, Ex-Up Banners, WondaSigns, BackWalls, Ex-T Lite, Ex-T and Ex-Roll Banners, Tents and Ex-Stars, Umbrellas, Café Barriers, Bean Bags, Poster Boards, Boulevard Banners, and Windsocks.

Can I purchase additional hardware items separately?

Yes. We offer an extensive range of hardware and accessories, specially designed for our banners.

What warranties do you offer on your products?

We also offer 2 years no fade warranty on our UV printed umbrellas.

What inks do you use?

All our dye-sublimation inks are non-toxic and water-based. We also offer UV printing for certain products.

What is dye-sublimation?

In Layman’s terms, the image is printed onto a special transfer paper. This printed image is then fed through a high-pressure roller heat-press. This process then transfers the printed image onto the fabric. This process allows for the ink to be embedded into the fabric.

What is UV printing?

UV printing is a form of digital printing that uses ultra-violet lights to dry or cure ink as it is printed. As the printer distributes ink on the surface of the fabric, specially designed UV lights follow close behind, curing or drying the ink instantly.

What is strike-through?

Strike-through is the visibility of the print on the reverse side of single-sided prints. With our high-quality inks, we can offer increased penetration through the fabric – allowing your prints to be clearly visible on either side.

What fabrics do you offer?

We have developed fabrics specific to each one of our products. These fabrics are woven polyester which we weave and coat with dirt repellant, light fasteners, fire retardants (on request), etc. ourselves, locally.

What’s the difference between Flying, Feather and Wing Banners?

First and foremost, the Flying Banner was invented by us over 20 years ago and since then, competitors have tried and failed to copy our patented design. The Flying Banner offers a teardrop shape and is ideal for windy areas. The Feather Banner is better known as a telescopic banner and we offer varying widths and heights for these banners. They also work effectively in clusters. Finally, the Wing Banner. This banner offers a Shark Fin shape and is ideal for spaces where you really want to stand out with its’ impressive 6.7m height on the XL option. Read our blog for more info: Banner Flags

What’s the difference between Ex-T Lite, Ex-T and Ex-Roll Banners?

Our Ex-T Lite and Ex-T Banners are non-mechanized pull-up banner stands whereas our Ex-Roll Banners offer a mechanized roller which allows the fabric to roll up into the base.

What sizes do your Custom Pop-up tents come in?

Our tents come in 3 sizes: 9’ 10” x 9’ 10”, 14’ 8” x 9’ 10” and 19’ 8” x 9’ 10”. We can also do custom sizes. All our Gazebos offer custom options of half walls, full walls, doors and windows.

What umbrellas do you offer?

We offer an extensive range of umbrellas for any event. The Acacia, which is our heavy-duty aluminum range, comes in widths of 6’ 7”, 8’ 2”, 9’ 10” and 13’ 2” options whereas the lightweight Acacia Flex option comes in 6’ 7”, 8’ 2” and 9’ 10”. The Acacia Flex combines an aluminum pole and fiberglass frame for greater strength in windy conditions. Finally, we can also make beach umbrellas upon request.

How easy are your products to setup and takedown?

Our products can be setup in a matter of minutes with no more than 2 people required for larger products. Most of these products are accompanied by printed setup and takedown instructions, which are sewn into their bags. Alternatively, we have created videos for our most popular products for added assistance.

What is a bespoke product?

A bespoke (aka custom) product is one that is made especially to a size and design, it is made-to-measure.

Can you provide custom-made banners?

Yes, our in-house team can often adapt our banners or flags to fit specific requirements or make a ‘custom-made’ banner. If for any reason we cannot do this for you, our extensive industry contacts mean we can source a solution for you.

How big can you print a banner?

At ExpandaBrand, size does count. We have made soccer shirt replicas the height of a 4-story building and 30-foot inflatables. We have also created desktop flags and A4 Ex-T Lite pull-up banners. There are virtually no limitations to the size banner we can print.

What happens to your excess fabric?

Our excess fabric is recycled. We use our waste fabric that normally goes into landfills to make functional, stylish and affordable bags and other accessories, of all shapes and sizes. This is done at our parent company in South Africa and employs local women and youth for neighboring communities to create skill development and employment opportunities.
