“Is it time for my business to evolve”? This is the question you should be asking yourself rather than, “Do I have enough hand sanitiser”?
It’s hard to avoid the topic of Coronavirus. Login to social media to read the views of every self-proclaimed expert and fake news causing wide-spread panic or every conversation with friends, family and colleagues – it’s just Corona this, Corona that.
But we’re ignoring a very real issue here that will last long after this pandemic has been contained. Where will your business be when we clear away the wreckage?
YOUR BUSINESS EVOLUTION STARTS TODAY
There is no doubt that globally we are facing a challenging and uncertain time. Major sporting and social event cancellations, border closures, quarantines and international travel prohibitions are just some of the measures implemented by governments across the world. All of which have had a massive negative impact on our businesses.
As a result, businesses are retrenching staff and even worse yet, closing altogether. Now, more than ever, we have to look beyond the Coronavirus. Use this as an opportunity to find ways in which your business can evolve. Here are a couple of examples:
- Do you have a restaurant? Perhaps look at doing deliveries.
- Are your staff office-bound? Look at which departments can work remotely one or two days a week.
- Are you a gym owner or personal trainer? Start online coaching
- Are you staff-heavy? Look at ways in which you can implement automation.
USE THIS DOWNTIME WISELY
Now, not every business is geared up to evolve and we all need to find a way to keep the doors open and protect the livelihood of our staff. Use this time to strategise and consolidate your resources. Look at your processes and find ways to improve and streamline production processes. Plan projects that you’ve put off because you simply don’t have the time or simply just brainstorm ideas.
THIS TOO SHALL PASS
Yes, orders have been cancelled and businesses are closed, but this will change soon. Events will reschedule, orders will resume, and a hive of activity will take place. Will you be prepared?
As a business, we understand that these are unprecedented waters and we will continue to support our customers, so if you require any branding, please don’t hesitate to contact us.
